THE REVIEW:
I was looking forward to this movie for a while and I was highly disappointed with this film. Granted, if you have seen Cars, you know that it is a funny movie, but Pixar has dropped the ball on this sequel. It was nothing but Mater driving around making lame comments about how he is dumb. Larry the Cable Guy is funny on the stage as a comedian, but he did not do good with the script he received. At the beginning of the movie, I wasn’t impressed. At the halfway mark, I was so bored and not entertained at all that I wanted to leave. At the end of the movie my child told me that she was bored throughout the entire movie. They say that this is a kids movie and if you have a baby to about 5 years old, then yes it is a good movie for them. However, this film seemed like it dragged.
OVERALL RATING:
You can’t confuse this movie with the first because there are cars and there is racing, but the quality of the script was halfheartedly written. I wasn’t impressed with he film and wanted to leave. You can take your child to this film, and that is probably why it is #1 in the theaters. Just don’t expect to be entertained with the movie like in the fist Cars. This was too much Mater and not enough McQueen and other characters in my opinion. It is not a movie where adults or ages 7 and up will like so don’t even waste your money on it. As my 7 year old has put it, “The lamest movie in the whole wide world!”
