2012 is set to be a fantastic year for blockbuster films, from much anticipated sequels like Men in Black III and Prometheus, to brand new 3D experiences in Disney films like Brave. So if you’re a film-fanatic, you are sure to enjoy reading and getting excited for all the great films set to hit our screens this year.
As a film-fanatic, you probably already know that Universal Studios celebrated their 100th birthday this year. To commemorate, they have re-released a whole range of DVDs in blu-ray, from classics like Jaws to sci-fi favorites like E.T. If you love nothing better than staying up and watching great films or going to late night screenings, rather than staying up to play Partypoker like some of your friends do, then you are sure to enjoy reading about all the great films we are looking forward to in 2012.
Men In Black III
The first two films were funny, action-packed and starred the coolest actor ever -Will Smith – which is why we cannot wait for the third instalment to MIB. This family-fun alien film is guaranteed to get us laughing, especially with Will Smith’s fantastic one-liners. It’s rumoured that Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have small cameo roles in the film. Unfortunately, MIB III doesn’t feature music from Will Smith, but we look forward to hearing if Pitbull can live up to Smith’s previous soundtracks.
The Hobbit
Lord of the Rings fans are sure to be desperate to see The Hobbit. Based on the book by Tolkin, the Hobbit is a prequel to the LOTR trilogy. Hobbits may be small, but we can definitely look forward to epic action scenes and big special effects.
Prometheus
The scary alien film is the prequel to the Alien franchise. If it’s anything like the rest, it’s guaranteed to be tense, jumpy, gory and brilliant. Directed by Ridely Scott, the film is set to be the sci-fi film of the year.
